white ibis with chick
Ibis Threskiornis molucca with chick IMG 2339A - It might not look like a baby, but the large bird on the left is a young bird that is begging its parent for food. It's easy to tell that it’s a juvenile bird as its feathers are still clean and white. Ibis are the grubbiest birds around, and although they spend much of their time in and around water, their plumage is often badly stained and dirty. Large flocks of these birds live and breed in the botanic gardens in the Queensland city of Bundaberg.
