White-browed scrub wren

white browed scrubwren

White-browed scrub wren, Sericornis frontalis, IMG 6623 - At first glance, the white-browed scrubwren might be seen as a drab and unappealing character, but this is a bird with a vibrant personality that makes it one of the avian stars of the bush. It’s the most common and widespread of the five species of scrubwrens that call Australia home, and is a resident of the rainforests, woodlands, and heaths of a coastal region that stretches from northern Queensland to around Adelaide in South Australia.

This inquisitive little bird had no hesitation in hopping in through the open door of the photographer's campervan.
