Guavas D748 - Guavas, also known as feijoas, are used to make jams and
fruit juice, and also eaten fresh, but their cultivation in some regions of
Australia faces one problem. They are frequently targeted by fruit
flies that lay their eggs inside the fruit, and the emerging grubs make the
fruit inedible.
