Coastal erosion has been solely responsible for the creation of the unique and
often unusual shapes of the rugged rocky outcrops that are scattered along
the beach near the NSW coastal town of Narooma. This particular feature, due to
its similarity to the shape of the Australian continent, is referred to as
'The Australia Hole'.
