Beach at Deepwater National Park D361 E

D361E  The blue waters of the Pacific Ocean lap at the vast sandy beaches and forested sand dunes of Deepwater National Park, an Australian conservation area near the popular holiday destinations of  Agnes Water and The Town of 1770 in the northern state of Queensland. The Town of 1770 owes its curious name to the fact that explorer Captain James Cook  took his first steps on what is now Queensland soil in the year 1770.
