murray river at Towong panorama

Murray River IMG 2363 - The Murray River, one of Australia's most important waterways, flows through a rural landscape near Towong where the states of NSW and Victoria meet. The Murray River is the world's third longest navigable river. It begins as a trickle of water in the Snowy Mountains that are on the distant horizon of this image and, at the end of its 2,520km journey, finally unites with the ocean at Goolwa in South Australia.
