Ardrossan, yorke peninsula

jetty and coastal landscape at Ardrossan on Yrke Peninsula south australia

Jetty at Ardrossan IMG 1137 - Ships no longer moor at the jetty at Ardrossan, on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, but tourists wander along it, and anglers, who patiently try their luck with hook, line, and sinker, make good use of the long structure. The white buildings in the background are the silos at Port Giles, where grain harvested from regional farms is stored and ultimately transferred to ships that are filled with their valuable cargoes at the offshore loading facility.
