old jetty at port Germein

weathered posts of old Port Germein jetty vanishing into the mists of time

Port Germein IMG 0580 - The Port Germein jetty, when it was constructed in the late 19th century, was the longest wooden jetty in the world. Storms and wild seas reduced its length several decades ago, but today, at 1.5 metres long, it's still an impressive structure. These weathered posts, coated with barnacles, and that vanished into the mist of an early morning, are all that remain of the end of this old structure.
