D174  Bright yellow flower of Hibiscus panduriformis, an Australian native plant species. Despite its attractive blooms, the native hibiscus that is found in the wild in many eastern areas of Queensland, is rarely cultivated in home gardens. The plant that, in its natural environment, grows among bushland dominated by eucalyptus trees, is a straggly and unattractive shrub.
