Spider 20063B Australia is home to several
highly venomous species of spiders, but this large arachnid poses no danger to
humans. It, like all spiders, devours large numbers of insects and thus plays an
important role in the natural environment. Its value in helping gardeners and
farmers to control insect pest species mean that it should be seen more as a
friend than an enemy.
