Night hunting spider 0157 - Australia is home to some of the world's most venomous spiders, but this species poses no threat to humans. It, like most arachnids, is, in fact, a highly valued part of the natural world, for without spiders the world would be over-run by insects that would damage food crops to such an extent that survival of the human race would be almost impossible.
