093 Few drivers, even those
in the latest four wheel drive vehicles, would consider driving at the legal
speed limit of 100 kph on this rough and isolated road that is little more
than a track that cuts through the landscape of vast plains of the
Australian outback. Even fewer people would consider it safe to drive in excess of the
speed limit. Speed cameras are routinely used in NSW, but are they hidden among
the low vegetation that dots this arid landscape where the nearest small town
and a bitumen road is several hundred kilometres away?
