Currawinya national park
Currawinya National Park IMG 1070 - This area, which is known, for obvious reasons, as 'The Granites', is a fascinating feature of Currawinya National Park. Here, immense boulders and vast slabs of stone dwarf human visitors. Currawinya is located in south-western Queensland, south of the tiny township of Eulo, and is one of the great natural treasures of the Australian outback. The park contains vast lakes that are frequented by large flocks of waterbirds, and is severed by the perpetually muddy Paroo River that ensures the survival of the great diversity of wild creatures that call this vast region home.
