Flinders ranges

flinders ranges after rain with rugged peaks and red wildflowers

Flinders IMG 9995 - Every view in the Flinders Ranges, in northern South Australia, is dominated by rugged and rocky peaks, but after a downpour of rain, wildflowers add a splash of vibrant colour to the landscape. The plants in the foreground are Dodonea lobulata, native hop bush, and their gift to the scene is not flowers, but masses of red seed capsules.
